World Environment Day celebrates its 11th Anniversary on Sunday 5th of June 2011 when World Environment Day. On this day, the UN seeks to focus world attention on the environment and recognize positive environmental programs and initiatives."So far, the Royal Government of Cambodia has developed relevant laws, policies, strategies and plans to cope with the protection and management of natural resources for development in a sustainable way to meet the people’s demands and alleviate the people’s poverty. This follows the economic policy agenda of the Political Platform and the “Rectangular Strategy for Growth, Employment, Equity and Efficiency in Cambodia" Senior Minister and Minister of Environment Dr. Mok Maret said.
Many people came to join this event in order to see concert that had famous singer and group of joker; furthermore, they wished to buy goods mostly wood production showing many shops coming from different organizations, such as Phnom Penh Municipality, Royal University of Agriculture, Royal University of Phnom Penh, etc.
